My name is Jack Byrne and I've been coaching for almost 25 years.

As a coach, one of the hardest areas to "figure out" was strength and conditioning. I constantly doubted myself...was I using the right program? Did I have the sets and reps that would optimize my athletes' performance? Did I have the right equipment and gear? Were my opponents doing it better than me? NOT THE BEST WAY TO LIVE AS A COACH. It was supposed to be FUN!

After years of studying various programs and influential people in the strength and conditioning world, my conclusion was that the very best at their craft keep things VERY SIMPLE. Since implementing this simplistic approach, our athletes have improved faster and reached higher levels of performance than ANY times when we used more "advanced" programs. When I train athletes now, I can focus on connecting with kids, building relationships, and having FUN knowing that THE PROGRAM WILL WORK.

Studying the depths and details of anatomy, physiology and Exercise Science can be fun, but for real-world application, the #1 thing I've learned throughout this entire journey is...?  👉  You don't need fancy equipment, expensive books or programs, or professional degrees to make an impact on your athletes. You can change your life as a coach by making things simple and eliminating overthinking... Once you understand the fundamental laws of strength training, the sky is the limit as far as what you can achieve. Whether you are a favorite or an underdog, hard work is rewarded in this field. AND THAT RIGHT THERE is what inspired me to create literally the simplest program and system I've ever seen, and to share it with coaches who are going through everything I went through when I started out.

But I get it, you probably don't really care about who I am and why I created this program... Right now, all you care about is CAN I ACTUALLY HELP YOU? Well, since launching this system in 2021, over 130 athletes have achieved standards that, looking back, almost NO ONE in our school achieved in the 10 years prior. On top of that, we have seen over 3000 personal records set in our weight room, creating a wave of confidence and momentum that has completely changed the profile of an "average athlete". Frequently Asked Questions

What skill level is this program for?

Foundation Strength is exactly that...a place to build the foundation of your strength as an athlete, or to build the foundation of your strength program as a coach. While there certainly are more advanced ways to train, we find that getting started and being consistent in training is usually what holds coaches and athletes back, especially at the youth and high school level. Furthermore, looking at more advanced programs under a microscope shows that "the basics" never really go away and are almost always the answer.

Can't I learn all of this on Youtube?

Of course! There are no secrets here. This is not a stylish, fancy system. But it is one that keeps you from going down that Youtube rabbit hole and overthinking every element of your program. If you need a break from the screens and the endless analysis, just jump in with us, keep it simple, and keep moving forward instead of getting stuck!

Is there more to the Program?

Yes, 100%...it's on the way. Offering our workout cards is just a starting point to get our "stuff" out there. I am creating an online course that will guide coaches step by step as they implement the Foundation Strength System. Again, there are no secrets here, and you can find a lot of information "out there".
